The antibody reacts with epitopes expressed on the female specific sex lethal gene product. The antibody can be used to study the products of the Sxl gene, and can be a a marker for female cells in male - female chimeras. It does not perform well in immunoprecipitation applications, but is very good when used as a probe for immunoblots. |

| Subculturing |
Medium Renewal: 1 to 2 times per week Cultures can be maintained by addition or replacement of fresh medium. Start cultures at 2 X 10 exp5 cells/ml and maintain between 1 X 10 exp5 and 1 X 10 exp6 cells/ml. |
