| Derivation | RT4-D6P2T is an schwannoma cell line derived from a N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) induced rat peripheral neurotumor, RT4. The tumor was grown in culture and a cell line RT4-AC was isolated that subsequently developed in a distinct cell type, RT4-D that produces glial specific S100. RT4-D was subcloned to produce RT4-D6 that was subcloned to produce RT-4-D6P2 and then finally subcloned to produce the D6P2T subclone. Ref   Bansal R, Pfeiffer SE.
