Expression vector permitting positive selection (Spi) of recombinants and control of expression using ochre (supB, supC and/or supG, supV) and amber (supE, supF) suppressors. Useful for conversion to phagemid. Permits expression in three reading frames, construction using partial filling-in, and oriented cloning. The restriction sites to be used for conversion to phagemid are: SalI, ClaI. Cloning capacity: 0.2 - 15.4 kb. The sizes of the major components are (kb): arms--20.3, 12.7; stuffer fragment--13.7; phagemid segments--3.9 (longer arm), 0.7.
