Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--3.7, 0.7, 0.4; BglI--2.7, 1.8, 0.35; EcoRI--3.0, 1.8; PvuII--4.7; SacI--3.3, 1.4. The insert contains the following restriction sites (kb from the 5' end): BglI--0.199, 0.508; SacI--0.338; BamHI--0.854, 1.195. Detects mouse genomic restriction fragments of the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--8.8; HindIII--7.1. Simple banding patterns were also detected with human and rat DNA. Contains the complete coding sequence and 3' untranslated region and is missing 16 bp from the 5' untranslated region. The ORF of 959 nt begins at nt 60 of the complete mRNA. The insert is oriented such that transcription from the SP6 promoter gives the sense strand. |
