The sorted DNA is of 92.7% average purity. The library was hybridized to human and mouse DNA and found to be 88% human and 12% mouse. This library has been shown to contain metallothionein and tyrosine aminotransferase genes at expected frequencies. It also contains sequences hybridizing with repetitive elements: a VNTR clone and a sequence characteristic of the centromeric region. |
