The insert contains XbaI (2), DraI, RsaI, StuI, and BamHI sites, with the latter being about 0.5 kb from the 3' end of the insert. Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--2.7, 1.8; EcoRI--4.5; BamHI--4.3, 0.2; SalI--4.5; PstI--4.5. The insert detects the VNTR RFLP of the AT-rich minisatellite at the 3' end of APOB. |
