Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.3, 1.1; PvuII--2.3, 1.1, 0.6, 0.4; BamHI/EcoRI--2.6, 1.1, 0.7; HindIII--4.4; BglII--4.4.
The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): EcoRI--0.64; XmnI--0.17, 0.63, 0.79; PvuII--0.9, 1.25.
The insert corresponds to nt 332-2068 of the published sequence, including all of the CDS (nt 329-2068) except for the initiation ATG.
The recombinant fusion protein lacks the human N-terminal methionine and includes 15 amino acids encoded by the vector. It is immunoreactive and demonstrates catalytic activity.
