Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.8, 1.3; BamHI--3.5, 0.66 + 1 smaller; HindIII--4.35; PstI--2.9, 1.25; SalI--2.8, 1.3. The 5' end of insert starts downstream of the initiation codon and the insert ends before the termination codon. The insert contains 1 PstI and 2 BamHI sites. The probe detects genomic HindIII fragments of 6.1, 5.0, 4.1, 2.6, and 2.0 kb in the human and 6.8, 4.1, 3.2, 2.0, and 1.4 in the rat. |
