Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PvuII--2.8, 0.9, 0.8. Contains a PstI site (nt 2627 of the published sequence) which is approximately 600 bp from the 5' EcoRI site. Corresponds to sequences beginning about 1.5 kb upstream of the EcoRI site at nt 3525 of the published sequence, and encodes most of the rod-like domain and part of the C-terminal globular domain. Detects mRNA of 6.0 and 4.0 kb (weak) in the mouse and 6.0 kb in the human. |
