Morphology
Colonies growing rapidly; aerial mycelium white, usually becoming purple; discrete, erumpent, reverse hyaline to dark blue or dark purple. Conidiophores short, single, monophialides. Macroconidia fusiform, slightly curved, pointed at the tip, 3-(5)-septate, basal cells pedicellate, 23-54 × 3.0-4.5 μm. Microconidia abundant, ellipsoidal to cylindrical, straight or curved, 5-12 × 2.3-3.5 μm. Chlamydospores common.
