Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--4.4, 2.2; EcoRI--6.6; HindIII--6.6; PstI--5.3, 1.2; AvaI--4.9, 1.6. The insert begins 135 bp upstream of the first ATG. It includes the entire coding sequence (for 393 amino acids) and 3' sequences. The Alu sequence in php53C-1 has been removed. The BanII and ScaI polymorphisms demonstrated codominant segregation in two families (12 individuals). Enzyme(s) not detecting polymorphism: BamHI, EcoRI, HindIII, PstI, PvuII, RsaI, TaqI, XbaI. |
