The NANB cDNA is from the liver of a chimpanzee with chronic NANBH which was infected with the blood from another chimpanzee with chronic NANBH infected with HCV from contaminated human Factor XIII concentrate. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) insert encodes amino acids 2796 - 2886 of the HCV polyprotein. |
