Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.4, 0.72, 0.56, 0.45, 0.31; EcoRI--3.2, 2.4; HindIII--5.0, 0.58; AvaI--3.6, 1.8, 0.31; BamHI--5.7. The insert encodes the carboxy-terminal 40% of s-laminin. A fusion protein product is recognized by the monoclonal antibodies C4, D5, and D7. This clone detects a mRNA of about 5.7 kb in rat kidney and muscle. |
