Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): XbaI/HindIII--4.6; EcoRI--4.6; HindIII--4.6; EcoRI/XbaI--2.8, 1.8; EcoRI/HindIII--2.8, 1.8. This probe cross-hybridizes with highly homologous regions present 3' to the IGHG (G3, G1, GP, G2 and G4) genes. This is a 1.8 kb EcoRI/XbaI fragment ("probe A") located 11.2 kb 3' to IGHG4 and 11.8 kb 5' to IGHE, cloned into pUC19. |
