Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--2.0, 0.2; HindIII--2.9; PstI--2.9; BamHI--2.9; EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 0.2. Constructed from the 184 bp HaeIII fragment (nt 1150 to nt 1335) in the 3' untranslated region which is specific to B creatine kinase and does not hybridize to M creatine kinase. Hybridizes to mRNA from primary cultures of rat cardiac myocytes which express B creatine kinase. EcoRI linkers were added during construction. |
