Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): PstI--3.9, 0.603, 0.520; BamHI--5.0; AvaI--2.6, 1.95, 0.40; NotI--uncut; EcoRI--5.0; SalI--5.0. This probe includes a 3' untranslated region and the entire C4 gamma-chain coding region. The 5' end begins 18 nucleotides upstream from the triplet coding for the amino-terminal glutamate of the C4 gamma-chain. |
