Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--5.0, 2.9; SstI--7.6, 0.5; NotI--8.0; BstEII--8.0; EcoRI--5.4, 2.8. Digestion with EcoRI produces fragments of 5.0 and 2.5 kb. Bacteria may grow slowly due to the high plasmid copy number. Encodes a chimera in which the first epidermal growth factor-like domain was replaced with the corresponding sequence from factor X. |
