Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): SalI--17.0, + arms. phi9-11 contains repeated sequences and must be prehybridized with total human DNA before it will detect single-copy bands. Standard hybridization and washing conditions work fine, with a final wash in 0.1X SSC/0.1%SDS at 65C. The MspI and TaqI polymorphisms appear to be in strong linkage disequilibrium. |
