Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--5.2; BglII/EcoRI--3.2, 2.0; EcoRI--5.2; BamHI/PvuII--4.5, 0.51. Shuttle expression vector. Permits expression in both S. cerevisiae and mouse cells. The EcoRI, SmaI, and BamHI sites are 3' to the unique available in-phase initiation codon under control of the SV40 early promoter. Constructed by deleting the HpaI (nt 1686)/BglII (nt 3463) site from pCYM0 and inserting the 879 bp BglII/EcoRI fragment containing TRP1 from YRp7. |
