Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): XbaI--20.0, 11.0, 9.2, 3.8; SacI--20.0, 9.2, 3.8, 2.9, 2.3, 1.8, 1.2, 1.0, 0.65, 0.58, 0.52; XhoI--20.0, 14.0, 9.2; SmaI--20.0, 5.8, 3.7, 3.5, 1.25, 0.90, 0.84, 0.76; PvuI--20.0, 12.0, 8.2, 5.8; HindIII--23.0, 9.2, 3.9, 0.90, 0.65. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): HindIII--3.9, 4.8, 5.5; BamHI--7.2, 10. Cloned from DNA isolated from individual II-4 of the TOU family. A 3.9 kb HindIII fragment from the 5' end of this insert, pH3.9EZZ, has been deposited independently as ATCC 61230, 61231. The 5' HindIII site is vector-derived. A 2.8 kb BamHI fragment contains the exons encoding the epsilon constant region. |
