Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--4.4, 2.2; HindIII--6.7; BamHI--5.8, 0.87; PvuI--6.7; AvaI--6.7. The insert contains the following restriction sites (in approximate kb from the 5' end): ScaI--0.4; XmaI--730; KpnI--1290; BamHI--1454; PstI--1520. A cDNA clone that extends about 500 bp farther in the 3' direction detects genomic HindIII fragments of the following sizes (kb): 11.7, 8.8, 4.5 doublet (human) and 13.1, 10.0, 4.7, 4.2, and 3.0 (mouse). This insert begins downstream from the start site of the signal peptide coding sequences to the 3' untranslated region, but does not contain the complete 3' untranslated region. |
