Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): BamHI--2.8, 1.45; PstI--2.0, 1.4, 1.28; HindIII--2.6, 1.3.
Insert includes 56 bp 5' untranslated, and open reading frame of 273 codons, and 447 bp 3' untranslated sequence. BamHI site at 3' end is within SV40 sequence (coordinates 0.715-0.710). Insert cut out with BamHI will include 35 bp of SV40.
Cross-hybridizes with rabbit sequences.
