Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 0.54; PstI/SacI--3.3; PstI--3.3; SacI--uncut; EcoRI--3.3; HindIII--3.3. This is a 576 bp SmaI/PstI fragment containing the complete coding sequence for the germline TCRDV2 gene. The promoter region of TCRDV2 has been sequenced. The A1 and A3 alleles of the BamHI polymorphism for the Chinese population have a combined frequency of 0.85. Hybridizes to a human genomic EcoRI fragment of 12.5 kb, a HindIII fragment of 4.0 kb, and an XbaI fragment of 3.6 kb. |
