Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--3.7, 3.1, 2.4, 0.46; PstI--7.6, 1.45, 0.72; HindIII--5.2, 4.5; PvuII--2.6, 2.5, 1.10, 0.82, 0.74 (doublet), 0.49 (doublet); SalI--9.6. The insert contains the following restriction sites (approximate kb from the 5' end): EcoRI--0.41, 3.96; PstI--0.67, 2.10; HindIII--1.92. Contains two complete open reading frames, from nt 112-2472 and from nt 2460-4220 of the insert. The 3.55 kb EcoRI fragment from the insert, which includes both coding regions, has been used as a probe. It detects mRNA of 8.2 kb in Ewing's sarcoma cells (the source of the transfected DNA) and other neoplasms. Corresponds to nt 1586 - 7878 of the sequence record. |
