Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI--5.2, 2.6; XbaI--7.8.
Produces beta-gal under control of RSV LTR, which functions in both Escherichia coli & mammalian tissue culture cells. Co-transfect with other plasmids and determine relative transfection efficiency by normalizing to beta-gal activity.
