Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): HindIII--3.7, 2.9; EcoRI--6.6; BamHI--6.6; PstI--6.3, 0.7; XbaI--6.6. This probe detects several bands due to the cross-hybridization of the Smu and Salpha regions as well as that of other homologous regions not yet assigned. This is a 3.9 kb HindIII fragment isolated from lambdaepsilon10EZZ which contains part of the switch epsilon region, cloned into pUC19. |
