Restriction digests of the clone give the following sizes (kb): EcoRI/HindIII--2.7, 0.14; EcoRI--2.84; HindIII--2.84; PstI--2.84; BamHI--2.84. Subcloned from lambdaR12. Contains the triplicated exon 2 (ex2T). Cross hybridizes to exon2 of TCRGC1 and to different exons of TCRGC2 (ex2R, ex2). For the HindIII polymorphism, the 2.7 and 4.1 kb constant bands correspond to TCRGC1 and the 15 kb constant band corresponds to the 5' region of TCRGC2. In EcoRI digests, the 2.3 kb band corresponds to ex2 of TCRGC1, the 1.4 kb band to TCRGC2 ex2R, and the 1.6 band to TCRGC2 ex2. In PvuII digests, the 9.4 kb band corresponds to the TCRGC1 gene. |
