This clone expresses an antigen for the 126K and 183K proteins of tobacco mosaic virus.
The internal SmaI-XbaI 126K gene of pTMV204 (nt 259-1000) was ligated to BamHI linkers at the SmaI end and then ligated into BamHI-XbaI digested pUR288. The correct reading frame was confirmed by sequencing.
